It's Okay to Pause

It's okay to pause

This one comes to you with very little forethought or editing… I was just now in the middle of one of many tasks on today's list and found myself in a cool quiet spot outside. I was overwhelmed with peace and thankfulness. I just wanted to sit and pray and praise and tried to think of when I could return to this spot to do that for a while. Then God's still small voice said "Now" so I did.

It is so good for us to sit quietly with God and yet we so often see it as something to fit in or reward ourselves with after the work is done.

But it is not a "to do" or a luxury, it is fuel and a necessity. When the car is low on gas you don't wait to fill up until you finish the trip, you fill up at the next station. When we're talking about time with God, the station is always with you. Don't be afraid to pause when you need to instead of when it's convenient.
